I'm a 47 year old computer whiz, however the Antares is my passion. I recently completed a thorough restoration, all the rigging was replaced by Fred Huffman and new sails were acquired from UK Halsey sails in MDR. The image below is of the boat in it's current condition, please play the Gallery to see how the boat looked when I began work.

Originally named Shalom. Rescued from a salvage society in Willmington by a friend of mine and named Mayhem. I acquired the boat when my friend got 'fed up' with it. The boat was in need of a full cosmetic restoration as well as new rigging, sails and other requisite maintenance.

I recently sailed Antares to First place in the K40 Class, at the 2008 Kettenburg regatta.
Regarding modifications to the original design: Being a later model, Antares has a skag aft off the rudder, we figure it was added to slow down the boats 'squirreliness' when on a run.
