This event returns for the third year at the Balboa Yacht Club.  Organized by WHYC club member Ralph Rodheim, this event promises to be even more successful than last year's.

The festival will be open Saturday, June 4th.  John Wayne's iconic yacht, the Wild Goose, will be on display along with between 40 to 50 in-the-water and on-shore classic wooden boats,  We will have great food and drink, vendors of all things nautical, and live music.  The event is open free to the public and a free shuttle service is provided so that parking will not be a challenge.

This race will also be part of the California Classic Yacht Series.

July 25th

37th McNish Classic Yacht Race

The WHYC always fields an impressive variety of boats in the annual McNish Classic Yacht Race hosted by the Pacific Cornithian Yacht Club at Channel Islands Harbor.  This race is run as a reverse pursuit race whereby the slower boats start first followed by the faster boats.  The finishes can be quite dramatic with many boats arriving at the same time.  One year, the winning boat's margin of victory was within seconds !!!

The WHYC looks forward to fielding a large group of boats at this McNish classic and we hope you can attend.
